ABOUT  MERCEDES

I started my first company in 2009 working on commissioned Fine Art. From that point I started exploring many types of artistic expression ranging from the creation of a collection of limited edition ornaments to later getting my graphic design degree with a vast range of other artistic adventures sprinkled throughout the last 10 years. It was shortly after starting work as a graphic designer that I discovered Food and Prop Styling. It was love at first sight, I had finally found a way to marry my love for cooking and Culinary Arts with the aesthetics of creating Fine Art.

After several years of passionately pursuing styling I created my own company specializing in food and prop styling.

Thus far I have found my favorite part of being a Food Stylist/Prop Stylist is getting to be a part of the creation process and helping to cultivate brand identity. I get to employ all of my skills to tailor fun, innovative, and beautiful imagery to help tell the client/brands story.

I consider myself truly lucky to really love what I do. I look forward to a career full of creative collaboration and fun.

Education:

I studied Fine Arts at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. I then went on to get my Graphic Design Certification from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
